Supplements
I used to be against supplements I do have to admit. I always felt that the food that I eat is supplementing my diet. That is why I have the diet that I have. But a friend of mine showed me the joys of supplements. As someone who goes to the gym and is a vegetarian, it's almost essential for me to take supplements. I'm talking preworkout and post workout. I don't typically use preworkout supplements anymore. I understand the need for them, but I would rather let my body tell me when it's tired rather then pushing through the pain with a supplement. With that said, the preworkout supplement I recommend is Jack3d. You can buy it online for cheaper than you can say at GNC. Go to bodybuilding.com. You can find it there for $24.99. It's a great place to buy any kind of supplement.
I do recommend if you are going to work out while being a vegetarian that you do protein shakes. When you are working out, you are suppose to be taking a gram of protein for every pound that you weigh. So a 180 pound man should be taking 180 grams of protein a day. That's a lot. Especially for vegetarians. There's a limit to how many beans we can eat in a day. If you go to bodybuilding.com and type in vegetarian protein, you get 417 results.
